ABOUT US

Formation of Ministry

The Agape Christian Academy Inc. (ACA), is a non-profit religious organization that is operated by a Board of Directors comprised of  members of local area  Church of Christ congregations. ACA was founded in 1982 to provide Christian parents, in the local area, a means or aid  for satisfying God’s plan for the training of their children.
ACA provides parents a Christian environment in which their children can grow up in the “training and admonition of the Lord.” (Ephesians 6:4; NKJV)

What We Believe

(1) Education of children is the family’s responsibilities and that we are only an extension of that family,

(2) Parents’ involvement in quality education strengthens individuals, families, communities, and our nation,

(3) Teachers and staff must commit themselves to unselfish care for each child’s emotional, intellectual, and spiritual growth,

(4) When given the right school environment, students will seek to excel not only in their knowledge base and performance, but in their character as well,

(5) Student learning should be interactive. Best practices should be employed, and courses across the curriculum should be integrated,

(6) Effective partnerships with business and community mentors should be established to support and enhance the educational process. Instructional strategies should be designed with clear goals in mind,

(7) Success will be achieved through strong parent/teacher/student/staff collaboration. Students should be valued as individuals with unique intellectual, physical, social, and emotional needs,

(8) A holistic approach to education best serves their needs and

(9) A curriculum needs to include those classes needed to obtain an Agape Christian Academy Diploma.

Objective

Our objective is to provide an environment for developing the whole child mentally, emotionally, physically, socially and spiritually through God centered academic programs using afordable pricing and the use of scholarships/grants when available and needed based on family income. This should allow more middle-income families to be able to afford private Christian schooling.

Philosophy

The school’s logo and motto,  “Growing Up In The Lord” declares  our Biblical foundation and daily educational philosophy. Our objective is: Provide a safe, whole-some environment for each child’s development in; “body, mind, spirit.” We are an extension or tool aiding the parent in training “up a child in the way he should go; and when he is old he will not depart from it.” (Proverbs 22:6; NKJV) Our providing quality subject education, school activities, and learning about God’s love daily aids the parent’s objective of raising a child who is blessed and a blessing to others. To this end, teachers and staff commit themselves to unselfish care for each child’s emotional, intellectual, and spiritual growth.  We aid those parents whose children are full-time, part-time, or home-schooled.
