admissions - HOME SCHOOL SUPPORT

ENTRANCE PROCEDURES

Print and fill out Preliminary Enrollment Form and turn in to school office with registration fee.

  • Arrange a Parent and Student Interview by calling the school office.
  • Sign the Teacher's Agreement if you are a parent/teacher.
  • Submit the Parent Responsibility Agreement.
  • Submit a Student Enrollment Form (each year).
  • Florida Student(s)
  • Transferring from another school:
    • Cumulative Files from other schools will be requested by Agape Christian Academy records office. 
    • Cumulative files include all Medical Records, Academic Records, Report Cards, and Achievement Testing Results.
  • Home schooled student(s)
  • Transferring from outside the state of Florida: within 30 days
  • Home schooled:
  •  Transferring from another school:
    • Submit the name and complete address of releasing school for Release Transfer Request
  • Military families from Florida stationed outside the United States
  • Maintain normal enrollment status in accordance with Florida education laws.
  • Keep accurate Quarterly Reports
  • Show attendance, subjects taught, and grades earned in each subject. 
  • Submit a copy to the Agape Christian Academy office quarterly: every three months, four times a year. 

IMMUNIZATIONS

We must have a current and up-to-date Florida Certificate of Immunization on file for each student enrolled.  For a student who is not fully immunized and cannot receive vaccines due to medical contraindication, please submit a permanent medical exemption form.

STUDENT MEDICAL EXAMINATION

You must submit a school-entry medical examination performed within one year prior to enrollment for all first year Kindergarten or submit a "certificate of exemption of school-entry medical examinaation.

 

PARENT & STUDENT INTERVIEW

The parent and student interview is how we get-to-know-you.  In it we review your student academic records, do a curriculum consultation, and review our policies and teacher's agreement.  No participants in an interview are bound, or required to enroll in Agape Christian Academy.  There is a $25 fee for an interview, which is used toward one student's enrollment fee upon enrollment in .Agape Christian Academy.

 

STUDENT AND TEACHER ID'S

All students & parent-teachers of Agape Christian Academy receive ID cards for each school year. Some stores may honor the Student ID cards or Teacher ID cards and give discounts for their merchandise.

 

ACHIEVEMENT TESTING

We provide testing services for any home schooled students. We offer both the California Achievement Test (CAT) and the Stanford Achievement Test (SAT) for students in grades K-11.  

 

 

 

 

CURRICULUM CHOICE

Agape Christian Academy retains the right to evaluate the various curriculums that our families use.   The only educational method that we do not approve or allow is "unschooling".

 

GRADE REPORT CARDS

Computerized report cards are sent to every student enrolled at Agape Christian Academy after each quarter's grade and attendance reports have been turned in to us.

  • No yearly portfolio or evaluation requirements
  • No registration with the state department of education
  • Child placed at ability/functioning level vs. grade level
  • School enrollment verification/identification cards available
  • Individualized study programs for high school students
  • Full service of a school administrative office
  • Professional Guidance & Counseling.

 

COMPULSORY EDUCATION LAWS

Agape Christian Academy upholds the compulsory school attendance laws of the state of Florida, as stated in Florida Statutes §232.01.
